Khawnan Management Solutions LLC — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of VerseKeep, our website located at https://versekeep.app, and any related services provided by Khawnan Management Solutions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

When you create a VerseKeep account or use VerseKeep, you agree to abide by these Terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms, you are prohibited from further using the app, accessing our website, or using any other services provided by Khawnan Management Solutions LLC.

If you access or download VerseKeep from the Apple App Store, you agree to any Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to review and amend any of these Terms at our sole discretion. Upon doing so, we will update this page and notify you through the app and/or the email address you provided when you created your account. Any changes to these Terms will take effect immediately from the date of publication.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use VerseKeep. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may only use VerseKeep with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

2. Account Creation and Anonymous Use

VerseKeep allows you to begin using the app without creating a full account. When you first open the app, an anonymous session is created for you automatically. You may later upgrade to a full account by signing in through a supported authentication provider (such as Sign in with Apple).

When you upgrade from an anonymous session to a full account, your existing data — including your verses, review progress, and settings — is preserved and linked to your new account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions, Payments, and Free Tier

3.1 Free Tier

VerseKeep offers a permanent free tier that includes the core verse memorization experience, including adding verses, spaced-repetition review, and memorization practice. The free tier is not a trial and does not expire.

3.2 Paid Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions (“VerseKeep Pro”) are available on a monthly or annual basis and unlock additional features, such as curated verse collections and the AI chat assistant. Subscription details, including current pricing and included features, are displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system and managed via our payment partner, RevenueCat. All billing, renewals, and cancellations are governed by Apple’s terms and policies.

3.3 Billing and Renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s App Store settings.

3.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

3.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. If pricing changes affect your current subscription, we will provide notice in advance. Price changes will not take effect until your next renewal period, and you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.

4. Voice Recitation and On-Device Speech Recognition

4.1 On-Device Processing

VerseKeep includes a voice recitation feature that lets you practice reciting verses aloud. When you use this feature, your microphone audio is processed entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in speech recognition technology. Your audio is never recorded to our servers, and it is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

You can revoke VerseKeep’s microphone access at any time through your device’s Settings. Doing so will disable the voice recitation feature but will not affect the rest of the app.

4.2 Practice Results

Only the results of your practice sessions — such as review grades and memorization progress — are stored with your account so that your progress can be synchronized and your review schedule maintained.

5. AI-Generated Content

5.1 Nature of AI Content

VerseKeep uses third-party artificial intelligence services to power its AI chat assistant, which can answer questions about the verses you are memorizing and general biblical topics. This content is generated automatically by machine learning models and is provided for informational and study purposes only. When you use the AI chat, the messages you send are transmitted to our AI service provider in order to generate a response.

5.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations. This includes but is not limited to theological explanations, scripture references, and chat responses. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or theological correctness of any AI-generated content.

5.3 Not a Substitute for Pastoral Guidance

AI-generated content is not a substitute for personal Bible study, pastoral counsel, theological education, or professional advice of any kind. You should independently verify any information, interpretation, or guidance provided by the AI features before relying on it.

5.4 AI Chat

The AI chat feature allows you to ask questions about the verses you are studying or general biblical topics. The chat feature is powered by AI and is subject to the same limitations described above. The AI chat is not a counseling service and should not be used as a substitute for pastoral care, mental health support, or crisis intervention.

6. Bible Content, Translations, and Devotionals

VerseKeep includes Bible text from multiple translations. Bible translations are used under license from their respective copyright holders and are subject to the terms and conditions of those licenses.

You may read and interact with Bible text within the app for personal, non-commercial use. You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute substantial portions of any Bible translation accessed through VerseKeep except as permitted by the applicable translation’s license terms.

VerseKeep may also provide daily devotional content. Devotional content is provided for personal study and encouragement and is subject to the same accuracy disclaimers described in these Terms.

7. Limitations of Use

By using VerseKeep and our website, you warrant on behalf of yourself, any entity you represent who has entered into these Terms, and your users that you will not:

The intellectual property in the materials in VerseKeep and on our website are owned by or licensed to Khawnan Management Solutions LLC. You may download VerseKeep to view, use, and display the application on your mobile device for your personal use only.

This constitutes the grant of a license, not a transfer of title. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions or the Terms, and may be terminated by Khawnan Management Solutions LLC at any time.

9. User-Generated Content

You retain your intellectual property ownership rights over content you submit to us for publication within VerseKeep and/or on its corresponding website. We will never claim ownership of your content, but we do require a limited license from you in order to operate the service.

When you use VerseKeep or its associated services to post, upload, share, or otherwise transmit content covered by intellectual property rights, you grant to us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the VerseKeep service. This includes transmitting your content to third-party services (such as AI providers) as necessary to deliver the features you use.

The license you grant us can be terminated at any time by deleting your content or account. Upon deletion, we will remove your content from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any technical limitations or backup retention schedules.

10. Account Termination and Data Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your VerseKeep account and right to use VerseKeep immediately upon written notice to you for any breach of these Terms. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with 30 days’ prior notice sent to the email address on file.

11. Automatic Updates

You give us permission to download and install updates to VerseKeep on your device in accordance with your privacy preferences. This permission can be revoked at any time by deleting VerseKeep from your device.

VerseKeep and the materials in VerseKeep and on our website are provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Khawnan Management Solutions LLC makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property, or other violation of rights.

In no event shall Khawnan Management Solutions LLC or its suppliers be liable for any consequential loss suffered or incurred by you or any third party arising from the use or inability to use VerseKeep, our website, or any other services provided by Khawnan Management Solutions LLC or the materials in VerseKeep, even if Khawnan Management Solutions LLC or an authorized representative has been notified, orally or in writing, of the possibility of such damage.

In the context of this agreement, “consequential loss” includes any consequential loss, indirect loss, real or anticipated loss of profit, loss of benefit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, loss of savings, loss of reputation, loss of use and/or loss or corruption of data, whether under statute, contract, equity, tort (including negligence), indemnity or otherwise.

Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

13. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing in VerseKeep or on our website are not comprehensive and are for general information purposes only. To the extent permitted by law, Khawnan Management Solutions LLC does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials in VerseKeep or on our website, or otherwise relating to such materials or on any resources linked to VerseKeep and our website. This disclaimer extends to all AI-generated content, including but not limited to explanations, scripture references, devotional content, and chat responses.

VerseKeep integrates with the following categories of third-party services to provide its features:

We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or availability of any third-party service. Your use of VerseKeep may be subject to the terms and conditions of these third-party providers. Disruptions or changes in third-party services may temporarily affect VerseKeep features.

Khawnan Management Solutions LLC has not reviewed all of the sites linked to VerseKeep or on its corresponding website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement, approval, or control by Khawnan Management Solutions LLC of the site. Use of any such linked website is at your own risk and we strongly advise you make your own investigations with respect to the suitability of those sites.

16. Notice Regarding Apple

To the extent that you are using or accessing VerseKeep on an iOS device, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this clause. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Khawnan Management Solutions LLC only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”), and Apple is not responsible for VerseKeep and any materials available in VerseKeep.

Apple has no obligation to furnish you with any maintenance and support services with respect to VerseKeep.

If VerseKeep fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the mobile application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to VerseKeep and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be our responsibility.

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to VerseKeep or your use of VerseKeep, including but not limited to (1) product liability claims; (2) any claim that our mobile application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (3) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.

Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that our mobile application infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights.

You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using VerseKeep, including any Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store Agreement of Service.

Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

You hereby represent and warrant that (1) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (2) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

17. Severance

Any term of these Terms which is wholly or partially void or unenforceable is severed to the extent that it is void or unenforceable. The validity of the remainder of these Terms is not affected.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
